Akrinak's here with his merman marble and not much else! no shirt, no gun, not even sunflowers since he figures they'll wilt and do fuck all underwater. he has a green towel strapped around his waist, at least, in case anyone cares about modesty pre-transformation. ]

[ Scarab is here! In addition to his mer-marble, he's brought small cloth bag that holds some heavily taped and multi-layered plastic baggies containing Ananke's gun and some ammo, some dried fruit and jerky, and a single vial of tears. Close enough to waterproofed. ]

[There's one(1) actual merman here with no need for a marble or even any kind of potion anymore (something he's quite pleased about).

He has a bag with him to put his clothes in, but he plans to leave that on the beach. Otherwise he has nothing but the shepherd staff that insists on going with him everywhere.]

[TYR IS HERE he's got his bolt thrower with him, along with plenty of bolts, as well as his gun and knife. He's got some bandages and his set of emergency herbs, just in case, all nicely sealed up to keep them as dry as he can]

Originally, the intention was to collect enough data to make some sort of underwater map. Go as deep as we can, while remaining out of the mist. Observe the locations, flora and fauna, then retreat.

Clearly, things have changed. The wolves aren't going to wait for us to discover things slowly. One could argue that we have reason to push further.

However... I wasn't able to find a way to anchor us back, should we get stuck out of time. If that happens, we'll have to gamble on Clover's power or on the Forever Snake's goodwill, unless any of you have found alternatives.

With that in mind: if you'd like for us to go further than originally planned, please speak now. It's a decision we should make together.

[ Scarab wades out to chest-deep water fully clothed — oh, no, nevermind he's just re-absorbing the clothes. Good to know that's a thing he can do. Normal. The bag of supplies he brought stays intact, slung securely across his shoulders.

Pops the merman marble in his mouth and swallows at the same time he ducks beneath the surface. As the transformation takes effect his skin sprouts scales and shifts to a mottled blue-gray color with streaks of black down his back and gradually fading into a fully black shark's tail where his legs used to be. His spine is also glowing bright blue, but that's unrelated. ]

THE WHIRLPOOL

[The whirlpool tosses and turns you, a dizzying feeling, but strangely enough, even if you weren't in your mer-forms, you don't really feel like you'd drown. Little by little, the overwhelming, despairing feeling of the mist begins to fade. And then. . .

Suddenly, everything is still. You're on the surface of the ocean, with another whirl pool that was very much not there before, hanging near the surface of the water above the underground cave. Curiously enough, in the whirlpool are rose petals, a gentle scent coming from them. They can hear that voice one last time, and for some reason, it's now much clearer.

For Levi and anyone who rolled a 7 or higher-- You will experience a Time Related status effect. This can be anything to being deaged, aged up, or your hair has grown out to incredible lengths. Or maybe just one limb has aged or changed. The choice is yours, but this effect will last One IC Day.
