But you're here instead. The sea seems relatively calm today, though you can see the wall of mist far, far in the distance still. Well, surely this won't go sour. Better get any last minute prep done!]

[Levi thinks he could probably take one shark. Maybe two. But that's a lot of sharks. They need a moment to react.

He casts a barrier around the group. He can't keep it up long, but maybe it'll give everyone a chance to get prepared.]

Sharks, up ahead! They know we're here!

[ while Levi casts his barrier, Akrinak puts the tail at an angle where the ranged fighters can attack while he maintains the stability of their ride. also shines his sunflower at the sharks in an attempt to blind them.

to the strange voice: ]

Hey, can you see us? We're travelers! Who's 'they'?

[ he's assuming 'txxy' is 'they', at least. ]

[ Scarab leaves dealing with the voice to the rest of the squad and activates the suit, taking a brief second to shift the armor on one hand into the barrel of an energy blaster so he can fire a broad energy beam at the nearest shark ]

[ kaveh keeps a firm hold on tempo as he swings his chainsaw recklessly at the oncoming shadow shark. it's a little awkward to maneuver the sunflower to cast light in its direction for the tool box to be able to take advantage, but he somehow manages. ]

POINTS HIS SUNFLOWER AT THE SHARK, HECK]

[the bolt thrower isn't the greatest ranged weapon but when the shark gets close enough you can bet it's getting a bolt or two in the face]

[ He fires out several windblades in quick succession towards the biggest shark, cutting through the water with swirling force. ]

"Travelers"? [ He scoffs. ] We're not just passing through! What else is out here?

[Using some water magic to take movement away from the sharks if he can, pulling some together with a strong current.]

Dragging the enemies in on rach other with crushing gravity-force? That's better suited to undersea adventures. ]</sub>

[The closest shark slams into the barrier, its fangs stuck in the invisible force field as it violently shakes at it. Some well placed sunflower lights manage to dislodge it, but the light isn't quite as strong underwater, so it merely forces it back before it's charging once more, trying to break whatever wall is between them.

The other sharks are quick to join in too, though some are momentarily deterred by the light as well, but more significantly, the bolt, energy beam, and windblades do some real damage. . .sort of. The shadowy beasts 'bleed' or are cut in half, their ink-like insides oozing out. . .and attracting even more beasts. It's the equivalent of blood in the water, and the closest sharks go into a frenzy, not only relentlessly attacking at their barrier, but each other as well. Hooray??

Though, at least between Levi's current manipulation, and the Demi spell, they're mostly cannibalizing each other. . .but you all won't last long.

Through the fray, the voice desperately tries to be heard.]

[It may be difficult for the others to pick up on, but Angie and Levi specifically will recognize the faint smell of roses through the chaos.]

he's keeping a sharp eye on the sharks though and will be blasting any that come too close to them ]

[ He stays with the rest of the group, occassionally firing out another windblade if it seems like the sharks are getting too close. ]

[you can't tell where you're going, but you sure are going, the scent getting stronger and stronger until--you can actually see something in the mist. . .or well, you probably feel it first.

A large whirlpool, sucking in the mist and everything else unfortunate enough to be sucked in. You're far enough away that you don't immediately get pulled but. . .it's most certainly where the scent leads.

Also, your barrier? Though another shark gets blasted and sliced, yet another rams its way forward, and then the spell shatters. You're completely exposed.

You have a choice. Stay and fight, or take a chance. Either way, at least three sharks are diving in to try and take a bite no matter what you try.]

[Levi tosses localized ice spells with a side of freeze in the direction of the shark closest to him, hoping to encase it and remove at least one threat.

Then he releases the tail he was holding and swims for the whirlpool as fast as he can.]

Don't worry. I'm an escape artist!

[That probably doesn't sound as cool as he hopes.]

well, angie knows what he's good for, and that's being an energizer bunny of arcane might. He's gonna focus on tossing Holy spells out to dazzle and or fry pursuers getting too close to Levie's tail as his shepherd makes a break for it, because, he thinks, maybe BOTH guys capable of detecting the rose scent shouldn't jump in RIGHT away ]</sub>

[ SHATTERED BARRIER BAD NEWS. ALSO LEVI WHAT HAPPENED TO STICKING TOGETHER ]

[ there's gotta be a reason Levi and Angie both reacted simultaneously, right? ]

[ this is going from bad to worse with each passing second and Kaveh is having a hard time not breaking into a full panic - especially once the barrier explodes. ]

[ his idea isn’t… the best, but he quickly sends a snake of dendro around their perimeter - dendro cores popping up one by one by one. ]

[ if a shark gets too close to one he points Mehrak at it and sets off, causing a small explosion. ] What’s gotten into them? Do they sense something?

The voice.. it must have been singing to the sharks..? But now that we're here...

[But... Muffin's not a ranged fighter, but if the sharks are coming to them now? he knots the rope tighter around his waist for a tether, and lets go of the tail. he needs the safety distance.]

[The only visible sign he's done anything are tiny snapping crackles of light around his fintips and along his lateral line, but if a shark gets past the spells and past the dendro cores, now it has to go through his electric field too.]

[ The moment Levi lets go Scarab makes an insectile noise that, given the tone and intensity, can only be a string of curses. He continues providing cover fire in the form of energy blasts, grimacing while a heated internal debate with his host rages under the surface

A debate he's decided that he wins this time. ]
