cepheus is probably pacing a bit, carrying any supplies he helped bring over or was given to hang onto. riptide is in his hand, but in pen form, twirled idly between his fingers.

the movements could read nervous, but he's eager, flashes a grin at anyone glancing his way. ]

[passing out sunflowers to the other Lilies and explaining, mostly for the demigods’ benefit]

Everyone take some of these. We’re going to try for stealth, so don’t activate them, but there’s very little better than pure sunlight for what’s in the mist. If it’s someone made of shadows with a mask it won’t be as effective, though, so just use it to blind them and then try to break the mask.

[and also little techno gadgets for people to carry in a pocket or something]

And one each of these. Aides wants to further test electronic communications through the mist, though these will just ping to a beacon in Peony’s barn, we can’t actually use them to call the pasture. We’ll be dropping a booster for Peony’s satellite while we’re in the city, too.

Watch yourselves. If it looks like we’re about to get thrust into the mist, grab onto me. We truly cannot navigate in there without a Weed, so we need to be especially vigilant.

So even if the satellite booster thing works, these still won't communicate back to the pasture?

They’re supposed to communicate back to the pasture, but it’s just a signal, so we’ll be bringing them back. Aides just wants to see if he can even make technological communication possible in the mist at all or if it will be blocked at a certain distance.

The satellite booster is separate, and as far as I could understand it is just meant to make anything from the city itself more…audible? to the satellite if it successfully launches.

So it's just for testing; got it. It'll be pretty cool if the satellite and booster work out the way he's hoping. It'd be nice to have a heads up if the Wolves are actually doing anything out there.

Should we bring some rope just in case we need to stay connected? It's crude, but it'll do in a pinch.

We can, but save it for now. We’re going to have a terrible time if we stay roped together the entire trip.

We managed it when we rescued you from our Lady. Blossom had us all connected with a child leash. But I agree that it's easier without.

[it's not a very long rope, but he does grab one that's thin enough to wrap up and tie into a belt loop for easy access]

[double-checking his supplies--weapons, potions, a few first aid items if they need a quick patch-up, and his own sunflowers. after Charon speaks he hesitates while he mentally reviewed what they've got, and adds on to that]

We don't have a dedicated healer, so everyone be extra careful. Make sure not to use any shadow powers in the mist too; it has an adverse effect.

[WHEN THEY ARE READY, and pray to the fountain, the scales of the Forever Snake, knowing exactly where they wish to go.

It feels like there are several Eyes on them all of sudden, and the earth seems to move under them at impossible speed, though they haven't taken a step themselves. It could be a bit disorienting, honestly, but as soon as it becomes uncomfortable, it stops. And they're on solid ground again.

Solid, grey, asphalt ground.

They're in the abandoned city from before. It's still misty, but thin enough to walk around and get their bearings without the aid of a Weed so long as they stay within the city's boundaries, where ever those may be. Like before, they're met with skyscrapers and abandoned storefronts, and long, dusty roads. They're not too far from where they last fought Bea--the broken glass and debris from the battle still litters the streets, tho any trace of her and the other poor souls she was fused with have long vanished.

For now, the area is free for you to explore. Have at.]

[ Sways a little unsteadily when they finally come to a stop, but he regains his bearings quickly. Squints to activate Scarab's scanners so he can look for any other heat signatures in the area ]

Huh, looks like they didn't even clean up from last time.

Anyway, he keeps close to the others, wandering closer to some of the debris. ]

It looks sort of like a modern city.

[ frowns at the destroyed skyscrapers and empty roads, the eerie silence. like every nightmare he's ever had about how the battle of manhattan could've gone, almost did.

rather than comment, he just closes his eyes and tries to sense any sources of water — nearby lakes, reservoirs, ponds, or even active plumbing or abandoned fountains ]

[well. first things first he’s gonna scan for the greenery and the ram statue that marked the park Bluebell found, since it can’t have been far from this battle site.

also, do any of the buildings appear lit like last time, when they were able to pinpoint the office Bea was using?]

[he starts with taking a sweep of the area to make sure there aren't any wolves or mist monsters nearby; never hurts to be too careful! if there are no immediate threats he'll check for, well, any other signs of life--lights on in buildings, noise, movement, or anything that looks like it may have been recently disturbed.]

[The park is in walking distance! There's still a smattering of actual greenery around the statue depicting the battle with the Black Ram, though no wolfsbane remains. There's also that plaque on it, but with no Weeds, they can't make out the words.

As for lights, nope! The sole office light that lead them to the tower-like business skyscraper has gone dark. It's somehow even MORE dead than before. Fucked up. Maybe this was a dead end after all. Welp, that's the end of the adventure, goodbye, time to go home.



Though, Cepheus in particular may pick up on the movement of water below them. A constant flow too, manmade, nothing like the rivers and streams in the meadow and forest. Maybe they should check the sewers.]

[They are only engulfed in darkness a few moments, before the giant spider lily blooms, opening up.

And they find themselves at the edge of the city, where they first appeared, with all their loot.

Just where the borders end and the mist thickens again, a wide, glowing path of white lilies appears before them. Just as some of them know before, so long as they stay on this path, they can safely traverse the mist, all the way back to the pasture.

A good thing too as a siren seems to be blaring through the city. The lady demon laughs.]

Ahahah, what a sorry lot! Aren't you glad I'm here? Oh--oh my. You look absolutely horrid. Let's fix that.

[a snap of her fingers and Lethe, Kevin, and Cepheus are no longer furries! Cepheus is still aged up tho. That can wear off whenever you want.]

Oh my! You do clean up nicely I see.

And it seems those bites won't be of much bother either, I suppose~
