I don't think anyone's gonna believe he's okay if you do. I'll just...take him...

[ Scoops it up and heads off to the security room to use the mic again.

Once in the security room he looks around to see if he can disable the alarms from here at all, but whether he can or not he flips the mic to broadcast to the 777 room, and Scarab surfaces to handle modifying his voice to match the dead guard's ]

False alarm!! It's not the wolf king! It's just some refugees that broke in looking for—a priest?

[a two way radio in the wolf's back pocket suddenly crackles to life]

Hey, [CENSORED], is that you? What's going on? The filing room has been incinerated!

[ Oh man, is he going to go to hell for impersonating a dead guy?? Oh well!

Grabs the radio to respond and reaches out across Lethe's teacher skill to update the group on this new development ]

I know! One of them tried to get into it to find info on a priest, but they couldn't guess the password and the security system kicked in.

[a crackle of the radio. It's unsure if they heard it all entirely, but something went through.

they enter and.........

It's something resembling a literal underground casino. Huh. There are slots and tables and such all for entertainment purposes. Or that's what it looks like on first glance. They might notice there's no (known) currency at use, or even stand ins like poker chips and such. Things on the table include actual food, like bread or packs of meat or fresh vegetables. They'll also notice scattered belongings here and there. A jacket here, maybe a scarf. It looks like the people who were evacuated were done so in a hurry.

More immediate though, to their attention, is the dozen or so security wolves staring at them with utter confusion. Like the security they had faced up til now, some have masks, the power of which keeping the ink-like ooze on their fur in place, while others are just, y'know. Normal wolf furries in suits. Judging by how they all look the Lily 'wolves' up and down with bafflement, they're clearly on guard, guns drawn, unfamiliar, but not ready to pump them full of lead yet.

They all look between each other tensely, before a flatscreen tv on the wall flickers on. The wolves immediately all turn their heads toward it, ears perked up in attention.]

[And that's when a familiar face (to some) appears. Ceo, glaring through the screen, over his glasses.

His attention seems to be focused solely on Charon, and he sneers.]

Well. At least it isn't Clover.

[he stares even harder.

Lethe, Kevin, and Cepheus will hear an incredibly hard to resist order in their heads as their bodies move on their own:

Kill the captured sheep. The Lily.

roll 1d10 - if 5 or lower, you can't resit at all. If 6-9, you still are compelled to attack but can control it somewhat. If a 10, Charon can counter-order you.

And then Ceo speaks outloud.]

If they resist, take them out. I don't believe those are refugees.

[the Teacher's skill does not cut out, which is exactly how everyone else knows Lethe lost his will save immediately. he reaches for the weapon that is easiest to grab--his gun--but from the angle they're all at, there is a few seconds of delay before he actually levels the thing at Charon's head. hey maybe someone should stop hi]

[ from ONE side there's the Hades kid with a bone crushing tackle--]

[ has his sword in his hand before he knows what he's doing, but — no, no, no.

ALSO TACKLES LETHE FROM BEHIND let's go this ain't happening ]

Finally, I meet the bastard who won't believe his sister lives.

[ANANKE. GET HERE NOW

he does not even bother keeping up the pretense a second longer, just. pivots. pulls one of his own guns from his coat, in the same motion he drops the rope. starts shooting the guards in their gun-holding hands one by one by one

good: his aim is actually fantastic. Triguns taught this man how to shoot. the bullets contain honeysuckle

bad: the rest of Lily, or at least Lethe, may feel a a kind of visceral rising lockup terror from him that doesn't quite freeze him entirely, but makes it a lot less likely he'll hit exactly where he intends to after the first few shots]

[ Ananke's already in motion by the time Charon's command comes through, zipping down the hall at top speed. The moment he's in the doorway of the 777 room he snaps across the link—

EYES CLOSED.

It's time for another BLINDING FLASH followed by charging up an energy blast for later as a safety measure ]

[The TACKLE knocks Lethe's senses back to normal, overlaying Ceo's command. Likewise Kevin and Cepheus don't feel the wolf's presence anymore either.

Meanwhile Charon oh here being a SHARP SHOOTER. A couple manage to get some shots out, but most are disarmed harmlessly.

Ceo watches all this with a wrinkled, snarl of a muzzle--he JUST got her body back he does not want to hear lip from a Lily!! Before he can say anything though, he sees Ananke zipping back in.

He barks out an order before killing the feed.]

Do NOT let them escape, by any means necessary!

[And then there's the flash. Ker-blind. . .

Two of the mask wolves, well. They do what the boss said. And remove their masks. Immediately their bodies are contorting, resembling that of your typical mist wolves, and they lash out blindly under the cover the flash.

Everyone but Ananke--roll 1d10. If 5 or lower, CHOMP.

Meanwhile, that brooch of Charon's is vibrating. Let her know if yall need a save bro.]

[god this is embarrassing. he snaps back to normal just in time to roll out of the way of a mist wolf and back onto his feet!! this time when he aims, it's at a mist wolf with a sunflower. sun beam right to the face for that guy]

[ meanwhile, he's lashing out with his sword when he gets CHOMPED right in the sword arm. drops riptide as he shouts in pain and pure fury ]
