Leviathan, you can use levitation magic, can't you?

[ He looks a bit devious. ]

[Don't even.]
A large rock, or... one or more of the merwolves, perhaps.

[ HE'S NOT TART WHO WOULD ABSOLUTELY USE LIVE BAIT. ]
We're still using something inanimate, but I need it moved and levitated far enough to be an effective enough distraction because I can't do that and maintain the glamor at the same time.

What about the rock the priest is on? If we can have some kind of barrier maintained while one of us grabs them then you can immediately cast the illusion after. Have the wolf king wannabe rise from the ground.
no subject
That could work. As long as you're able to lift it off. We're going to have to be at a safe distance and send the rock flying when we have the priest retrieved after creating enough of a commotion. We don't want to be followed or noticed ourselves.

[ time to use some good ol stealthy telepathy on their priest.
@ them,
Are you protecting the beach? Wave for yes. ]

but their shadowy tail...wags?? yes]

We'll have to see what they're protecting, then.

[ Eying the horde of sea wolves warily ]
Let's hurry and get up there before we get noticed. We don't want a commotion before we're ready.

Then let's move.
[ He'll be swimming away once everyone turns! ]

[ moving along with the group! ]

Angie, at least, can just start floating around once they're out of the ocean. ]

He steps out of the water on two legs, keeping an eye on the merwolves. If there didn't seem to be an endless supply of them they might be able to simply take them all out. Alas. He'd liked the idea of just grabbing the priest and running for it.]

But when they swim to the beach, they actually break their chant, calling out--]
WAIT, NOT YET--
[As soon as any of them step foot on to the beach, that other barrier reverberates, and golden chains seemingly shoot out from the ground...except they aren't chains, they're snake coils, blocking their way further.
The mist wolves, both the ones on land and water, perk their ears up. They can't see the sheep but they can see ALL THAT. Strangely, half of them don't bother trying to sniff out the intruders, instead going for the coil chains, violently trying to pull off as many scales as possible. Others begin to sing their own songs. . .
Roll 1d10! If lower than 5, you suddenly view someone else in the party as either 1) your most hated enemy or 2) someone you're madly in love with]

ah, nadeko. i see how it is. you murder the fuck out of him last time and now you are apologetic.
anyway this appears to be, at least partially.
a musical. battle. now.
...
if he attacks he'll break the vanish. time to start telepathically revenge-serenading wolves. he guesses. he is now ready to throw his whole chest into improv. ]
Put down-- your claws,
Cover your teeth,
Rest your jaws,
Now listen to me--
You don't need, to die today,
Nor do you need to fight,
Your burden can be laid away,
To bear another night!
Please stay this wrath,
From times of old,
We'll find a path,
To end this long-trod roooole--
You don't, have, to suffer,
So long, and.... goodnight!
[ IF THIS SEEMS LIKE IT IS AT ALL WORKING HE WILL NOW COMMIT TO FLINGING A SLEEP SPELL WIDE if not gg. wasted his turn singing ]
no subject
but there's more important problems at hand, so he turns away to focus on this new wolf problem. Angie's attempt gets the benefit of the doubt for about 10 seconds, but if the singing and sleep spell don't do anything then Ananke's pulling out the energy blaster!! ]
no subject
The fingers of one hand revert back into webbed merman claws, but he can't afford to attack indiscriminately. His invisibility would be gone.
He waits and watches for now.]

Why are you...?
no subject
... why are you...
[ Is he seeing Apple or Rubato? Who knows? But he is swimming close to Ratatoskr to hold his arm. ]
