[THEY MAKE IT IN, JUST AS THE DOORS SHUT. And--woah who turned on the lights.

THAT SURE IS A CASINO. Of sorts. Instead of money however, it seems like everyone's gambling for goods. High quality clothing, vegetables, even some desserts here and there, (normal) animal meat that isn't a corrupted mass of souls. On the roulette table there are BERRIES. Damn, high spenders here.

There is also a bar full of shitty alcohol, though there's only one person there at the moment, hunched over and cloaked. But before you can explore at all, security stops them:

Hey, hey we saw you bunch jump in here! Did you have the answer? Or are you. . .?

Ruh ruh, their guns are raised (yea these wolves just have fucking guns), and eyes are trained on them. They've got one shot at answering the riddle.]

[look at ALL THE GAMBLING HAPPENING. hell yea roll for some GLASSES AND CORN. Despite the implications here, most look fairly relaxed, happy to have some normalcy in their lives. That said, tho they are few and far between.......not everyone is a wolf! Some have slight features of other animals. Maybe scales, maybe antlers, maybe spots like cows. But they all seem to be co-mingling fine. Though, you may pick up a few odd snippets of conversation.

Meanwhile, as Hannya gets closer to the bar, he better grab at his collar. Narrah too, where ever he's wandering, as their bells instinctively start ringing, as if close to some one else on their flock. The lone patron there hunches over their drink more, taking it all down in one shot.]

[ slaps a hand over his bell, then adjusts his hoodie awkwardly to wad some fabric up around it. a temporary fix, but enough.

that's all he needs, though. he sliiiides over to try and take a seat down next to the lone patron. ]

[ he's on the other side of the room by now! also slaps a hand over his bell, shooting a glance at Hannya. but he doesn't make his way over yet.

instead, he scans the room, looking for anything resembling a MAP or a RUNE. anything he can gamble for, or commit to memory?

alternatively - is there anyone looking particularly impoverished, or desperate for clothing? ]

[no maps or runes! This is a place of FUN(?) and relaxation! Ignore how some scramble for their winnings!! Non-meat food seems to be the most popular currency, though no fruits outside of berries are seen, but he might pick up an argument or two with some folks haggling--swearing they'll find a 'holy item' or some silver if the dealer gives them a higher payout. He's free to try and gamble too, if he's got anything on him worth their while.

Back at the bar, the mystery man lets out a snort, pulling down the hood on his face. He's a furry too, but more humanoid, with only his fuzzy white face showing.]

This seat's taken, get lost.

[ he does briefly look over his shoulder to make eye contact with Nue and give him a brief raise of an eyebrow — one that says think this is our guy, don't let him slip away — before looking back with a shrug. ]

'Sides, I bet the alcohol here's shit anyway.

[there's the faintest nod in response before Nue slowly begins to circle back so he can be a little closer]

She told me two things she wanted, though, an' I promised, crossed my heart an' hoped ta beat the shit outta anyone who tried ta make a liar outta me, that I'd help.

She wanted to find this guy. Ain't just any guy, no, no. He's got a lotta significance to us. I don't think I need ta tell ya who "us" are. Girl's been dyin' ta meet this guy, an' I ain't about ta make her cry.

[he gets another shot glass, and downs that, throwin' them some side eye. He's got one hell of a scar on his eye.]

[ shifts to meet his gaze, eyepatch probably real prominent now. ]
