See, it's like this. There's a lil' girl I know. Cute as a button, she'd warm even yer sorry-ass heart. She's been through a lot, too — saw her mama die real young an' everythin'. She told me two things she wanted, though, an' I promised, crossed my heart an' hoped ta beat the shit outta anyone who tried ta make a liar outta me, that I'd help.

She wanted to find this guy. Ain't just any guy, no, no. He's got a lotta significance to us. I don't think I need ta tell ya who "us" are. Girl's been dyin' ta meet this guy, an' I ain't about ta make her cry.

[he gets another shot glass, and downs that, throwin' them some side eye. He's got one hell of a scar on his eye.]

[ shifts to meet his gaze, eyepatch probably real prominent now. ]

I'm makin' it yer problem. It's time ta stop runnin', pal. What're ya so afraid of?

[a growl and straightens up, jabbing a finger at his chest]

That ain't none of your business! You may smell like that place but my memory ain't THAT fuzzy! Who the hell are you? There's no way that flock is still around. . .!

[ snarls a bit, leaning in and angling his body so only the stranger can see when he tugs the neck of his hoodie down a bit, showing his collar. ]

[his eyes go wide and his hood falls. He's some sort of furry, but it's hard to tell, though one of his eyes look like it got gashed all nasty like. And despite the fur, he's going pale.

But that doesn't stop him from tossing the shot glass at him and trying to make a break for it!!]

[ WOW. the glass barely misses his head and he laughs. ]

[he runs right into Nue, he stops him with a hand to his chest, followed by him grabbing his shirt.

He leans down and rumbles out]

He just jerks on his shirt to shake him a lil so he can't do that]
