[The calming effect works. . .to an extent. There is a flood of negative feelings, energy, the longer he clings to her. She screams and screams, wails mixing with the souls, and though she doesn't bite his face, she does sink her fangs into his shoulder. He'll feel an influx of hatred, anger--why shouldn't it all die? Every insecurity bubbles to the surfaces, burning through his skin.

But if he can keep his since of self, endure it all. . .he'll also feel the presence of a terrified creature deep within, yearning for help.]

[ a part of him tells him to release her, now, because the longer he stays like this the longer all of this negativity is going to impact him, but he knows he's already a spiraling void of misery so the least he can do is take on the burden of her suffering... or at least as much of it as his ( formerly ) mortal body can bear. ] ...! ah!! [ kaveh hisses through clenched teeth, his hand going to the back of her neck and digging in as she sinks her fangs into his shoulder - the abrupt spike of pain coupled with everything else making him momentarily delirious. ] ...n- not, not going anywhere. [ he holds her tighter, stepping closer, his head subtly turning to give her furry cheek a kiss. ]

[A jolt of pain--for her and him--anger, shock. Surprise.

For a moment, everything in the realm seems to Freeze.

There is still that overflow of negativity. . .however.

The shadows around her upper torso disperse, revealing an eyeless white wolf. The rest of her body is still covered though, and black energy whips at him.

Her fangs release him and a strained voice escapes her throat.

[ the abrupt spike of pain rips a sound of surprise out of kaveh, his back bowing as his he trembles, helplessly clinging to her. the tenseness bleeds out of him a few moments later, his eyes refocusing to find that the shadows have started to disperse. yes. yes. yes. ] We're halfway there.

I will. I promise. I'll do whatever I can to help you. [ as soon as she releases him he cups he muzzles and kisses her right on the snoot. ] Don't look at anything or anyone but me. Focus solely on me.

But, she doesn't move. There's desperation now, helplessness, something mentally crying out for release from the suffering. Rubato has brought her bindings over, and when those touch her form, the negative energy from the collar seems to lessen. Not completely, but almost.

But it's still missing one Other, for now.]

Which means the original bindings now glow brilliantly, especially if they are being pressed against her. The collar's power begins to fade, and it still burns to the touch, but. . .

With some help, you may be able to pry it off.]

[They pull and pull and pull. The dark heat it gives off burns at their very souls. Even if, technically, their forms now aren't solid, their limbs, their 'flesh', it all threatens to turn to ash. The souls around them swirl and howl, mourning them as if they were doomed to be defeated. Soon, they'd join the legion of lost souls. . .

But the cloth that once enveloped her, blinded her, it wraps around the collar as well. They can feel them--the sister wolves' fangs latching on, pulling with them. This isn't right, it must become right.

The ouroborous loosens. Then cracks.

A brilliant flash of light fills the area. ]
