That's understandable. Your current management isn't very. . .reliable, for lack of better words.

Then pierces his own scales with its tip, drawing just a bit of blood. Then, as casually as ever, he begins writing on the air with it, a bloody circle somehow materializing, until it glows.

Like a window, the circle becomes glassy, and its like peering out into a night sky, with nothing being able to made out aside from a few yellow eyes peering through the darkness.]
