You've always been kind to me. I know from experience how awful it is to dread your own future. There have been so many times I wished someone would just get it over with -- just rip that bandaid off -- so I could conclude my life while I was still happy and healthy.
Someone I cared about did it for me, once, and it helped. So, it's a kindness I'm paying forward.
