We've never tested if that would override his control or not. At best we can hope it cancels out, but we don't know what that might do to the Weed in question.
It does make me more inclined to trust him to come with us... I was going to be wary about inviting him along without being able to fully vet him first, but if he's willing to skip that process and just give me his word, that's even easier.
