Re: 2/2
the memory trips him up and he stumbles, catching himself only when his knees hit the floor and the shock of it pulls him back. it feels like a dead end at this point, but he still needs to look just to be sure; if the hole in the shattered floor is big enough for him to fit in, he'll try to slip down to where the dead dragon is and look around. if not then he just tries to make out what he can from above, making absolutely sure that Charon isn't down there.]
Re: 2/2
it's packed in real tight under there. Charon is probably not buried with it.]
Re: 2/2
his hand remains on the dragon for a moment, letting the memory replay in his mind. this dragon is normally very much alive when he sees it, and the memory has a sense of wrongness to it that his own mind needs to reconcile.
it is with some level of absolute stubborn petulance that he just shoves a little bit of his own life force into the dragon. then, before he can feel too frustrated and stupid about doing that, he gets to his feet and turns to follow where Charon's footprints were leading]
Re: 2/2
we simply don't have time to unpack that right now, though!
he can follow the trail to a small, nondescript door behind the stairwell. it's locked.
the flower he's holding grows very hot, and tugs faintly in the direction of the wall.]
Re: 2/2
he lets the flower tug him towards the wall and reaches out a hand to see if there's anything there; does it give under his touch, or anything like that?]
Re: 2/2
when you press it, there's a click from the nondescript door. it's open now.]
Re: 2/2
Isn't this a little cliche?
[reaches for that unlocked door to go through, now]
