[when they complete the ritual, a rose plant will suddenly burst from the ground! It only has a single, large flower on it though--and the rose is a lock! It can be attached to their front door, and it'll magically extend vines to seal the door, with the keyhole to open it being within its petals.

On the plants thorny vines are also six keys, each with a crystal rose on the end. They'll instinctively know to tap their door with the keys, and their knobs will reshape into a rose mold, enabling them to lock the door from the inside or outside.

The keys also work on the front door, of course! And fire and other elements can't destroy the front lock.]
