If you've made enough mischief in the pasture, you can ask him for things like better clothes and other tools. The clothes will come out tattered, but otherwise they're fine.

There's also Red. He's more of a traditional shopkeeper who wants you to collect things for him. He sells to both sides, but his trades are going to be more intricate than just "bother someone for a while."
